Spring is here...spring is here...its the best time of the year....beautiful weather has finally arrived. Time to pick up a dozen cupcakes and head out for a nature walk or a picnic. We will be hawking our Easter goodies at all locations this Saturday until closing. We will be closed at all stores on Easter Sunday, excluding our casino shop at Monte Carlo Las Vegas.

Heading back to Belize to start the cacao harvest soon. Organic! Sustainable! Real Chocolate!!! My dreams of Belizean cacao farming have finally come to fruition. The pods are ready to come down and we are ready to celebrate. The Cacao Festival will take place in the Punta Gorda/San Antonio region of Belize on May21-23. Lots of cacao, cacao wine and fun! Anyone who wants info on sustainable living in Belize or central America feel free to contact me. It's a wonderful, beautiful place to jump off the grid and get back to basics of life. I am just learning the ropes of organic farming myself and its truly amazing. Speaking of the basics of life....trying to start a campaign to get all my friends and colleagues aware of the birth crisis situation in the US. I constantly hear nightmare stories about unnecessary caesareans, and difficult births, and I am frankly fed up with the system of butchering women in childbirth. I was lucky enough to experience to art of midwifery and gave birth to my son in a water tub in the privacy and comfort of our own home with no complications, no unnecessary procedures, no shots and no harm done to my son. It was such an amazing experience that I feel the need to share it with the world and help make women aware of alternative options to hospital births and traumatic experiences. If you are pregnant, planning a family or just want to be involved there are a wealth of resources out there to educate you about natural childbirth and the positive effects it has not only on your baby but you and the world around you. Ok. I will get off my soapbox and get back to cakin..... Our southern specialty Hummingbird Cake will be back next month as will our Trip to Graceland...people just love that bacon...

We will also be debuting our first vegan cupcakes later on this month. They are super yummy and will be available in most of our locations....call your local shop to make sure first. The target date is May 1, check your local shop to see if they pop up earlier. We have s upper cute Easter Egg Assortment that will be on display in our shops this week, and for Mothers Day we will be covering everything in fresh flowers. Stay tuned for any specials.
